Hello Summit Families,
I hope that you all enjoyed your spring break. It was certainly one of the most, if not the most unique spring break ever. It’s been a month since we have been together with our students, staff, and families. It is hard to believe how quickly time flies. We miss our students so much!!
I hope that you are all safe and well. I have some fun news today! I wanted to share that our kindergarten through 7th grade students at Summit North and Kindergarten through 4th grade at Summit Flat Rock should be receiving mail. It will come in a large brown envelope with a white sticker that has the Summit Logo and says, “Extended Learning Materials Enclosed.” Some of our students have already received them. The envelope will contain a Think Stretch book for students and a Parent Guide. Please hold on to those books. The teachers will be using those for their Distance Learning Lessons. We will be sending you more information next week about the Distance Learning for your students. If your student doesn’t receive a Think Stretch book by Wednesday, April 15, please email your building administrator and let them know.
We are very excited that we will be launching our Distance Learning Plan and website on Monday, April 20. It will be your one stop shopping place for all learning activities, updated information, technology support, and assistance. Look for more information to come on Friday to get ready for the launch. More information to come.
We are planning a Virtual Town Hall Meeting on our Facebook Page on Thursday, April 23 at 6:00 to try to answer questions and provide additional information to our Summit Academy and Summit Academy North Family.
Remember that we are continuing to distribute breakfast and lunch for 7 days on Mondays from 11:00 – 12:00 at Summit Academy North Elementary and Summit Academy Flat Rock.
