JAPANESE CULTURE CLUB

A great, student-created group dedicated to all things Japanese.  We watch Japanese films, learn Japanese card games, sample Japanese snack food, and do different Japanese art projects.

NJHS

This is a prestigious club for students with good academics and strong character.  Students are provided opportunities to prepare for the next steps in life.  Service Projects allow students to build teamwork capabilities, hone project management aptitude, and build friendships, all of which are valuable life skills.  Leadership development including motivation, and inspiration are gained through our own chapter’s work, especially web the student takes “LEAD” on a project.  This chapter at Summit Academy Middle School North is very active.  We constantly working towards greater independence and responsibility through voluntary contributions and participation in both our local and global community.

SCIENCE CLUB

This meets weekly to discuss science exploration and to do awesome hands on science experiments…like elephant toothpaste!

A student led group dedicated to creating organizing and running events at the middle school.  We handle several middle school dances as well as Spirit Week and other fundraising events.

UNITED CULTURE CLUB

This quarter the United Cultures Club has partnered with Pen Pal Schools for a 6-week course.  We are exploring global issues with other students from around the United States.  Club members are becoming more globally aware and building empathy as they learn about and discuss human rights issues and global conflict through the eyes of teen filmmakers from around the world.
